2018 250 magician front sprocket

picked up a used 250 magician to use in woods and has way too much speed in 1st gear

looked at changing front sprocket from 15t to 12t to slow it down but only see 17mm or 25mm outer diameter shaft replacements

my front sprocket is 19mm outer 15mm inner with 6 points , do not know size of chain but clearly odd ball shaft size

what are OEM sprocket specs on 2018 250 magician made by chongoing haosen

need front or rear sprocket changed to slow bike down who sells this odd ball front shaft size for 250 magician ? would like to find a 10t or 12t to slow it down would be cheapest way

thanks

my shaft is 19mm outer 15mm inner 6 point with 4mm difference

JTF 259 shows 20 and 18

I don't think JTF 259 will fit

It is the same sprocket that the Hawk uses. Same engine. JTF259 is what works on the Hawk and every other CG250 powered bike. Order it and find out for sure. I it don't fit, return it.

You won't find a whole lot smaller, I think a 13 is the smallest I have seen

Thumbs Up

12t sprocket fits shaft, maybe not motorcycle?

keeper had to be drilled and cut down to work, chain riding guide

Hindsight a 13t would have been OK, with 12t 2nd gear is what 1st was with 15t. a 13t would be higher and maybe not rub as bad

I am not going over 20 mph and only ride a little over a mile at a time in real muddy stuff so to me slower is better. Im 6ft over 200lbs just put my feet out and keep things upright

I was lucky picked bike up with under 200 miles and have under $400 in it, a 2018 it sat 6 years after hurting 2 different owners. was probably totaled by insurance so no title but no problem to me a dirt bike

1st owner hurt himself and parked it

2nd owner fixed at it and did same parked it

I can tell frame is bent, handlebars have been changed but they are (where) bent

front forks may not be same and they may be bent?

If you buy a used bike made in China with low miles and have never ridden motorcycle take someone with you that has and have them look it over and ride it if your going to ride on street

If looking for a cheap dirt bike the Magician will work but will be safer and more controllable with a 13t front sprocket and dirt bike tire (my opinion)

If you order a sprocket you may need a keeper so best to buy a set
