I have dropped one in the oil drain pan. Fell in the river with one. Dropped my current one in my coffee.

The only one I was unable to revive was the river incident. The LCD quit.

That's the funniest image! You couldn't have planned it that way if you wanted to.

You revived the phone that dropped into the oil drain pan! 8O I have to ask, how do you drop a cell phone into your coffee?

While texting and slurping.

The oil fortunately was thick enough to not penetrate.

Yep, the guy that sold me my blackberry told me never to get it wet as they will know everytime if it has been in the drink.

These companies are pretty savvy about avoiding warranty compensation.

There is a way around it, but I chose to take the high road when Son of Weldangrind's Ipod Touch went through the wash. :x

the data should still work its all saved on the micro sd card.

i have had this happen to me a few years ago, but i wasnt lucky enough to get a clean bowl of water in the tolite.. i had to drain the snake, it was cold so i had my pull over hoodie on. pulled the front pockets to the side to zip up, but i leaned over to flush first and just before touching the flush handle. my phone fell right out into the bowl.. took me about 2 minutes to reach in and get it.

phone was dead, but the data on the micro sd card was still good. if the battery is removed you can drop a phone in a bowl water and then let it air dry over a few days and it will work as long as its completely dry when you put the battery in.. aslong as there is no power going to something you can get it wet it just has to be completely dry before putting power back on it.
