Gio T3, No power!
my gio rebel t3 seems to not have much power... i can only get the thing up to around 55km\h but it should get up to at least 80km/h if i am not mistaken? what can i do about this problem? has anyone else experienced this?

80km/h is pretty fast for a quad like that; I had my 200cc Beast up to around 70km/h, and it was really unstable.
Nevertheless, you can probably free up some power like I did with some simple mods. I put a free-breathing straight pipe glass-packed muffler on (with a perforated baffle), a 30mm Mikuni carb with a 25 slow jet and 110 main jet and a performance CDI. I'm not sure how much the CDI actually helped, but I'm using it. I'm also using a pod filter (like a Uni).

This thread has lots of good Beast stuff, although it's the early version: http://www.chinariders.net/modules.p...er=asc&start=0

I'm thinking my Beast tops out around 50 or 60 kmh as well. And like Weld says, it's a real handful at that speed!

what have you guys done with the guard under the rear sprocket and disc brake? seeing as it is plastic and has already broken on mine...
also wondering, what would be a good performance cdi to throw on this quad? there are so many out there, just wondering which one would work the best? |

My guard was steel, but it's ruined as well. I'm gonna fabricate a new one.
My performance CDI was a gift from TurboT, and I'm sure he bought it from Gio.

On the Gio site you can search performance cdi and you will find it.
Ebay has far more selection though and alot cheaper. Not sure though if these engines use an AC or DC style cdi.
