One of our neighbors is having a garage sale and their boys had a lemonade stand, so I decided to partake after walking Buster.
Mom and I got to talking and I learned she grew up where we had our first house. When I told her my last name her eyes lit up and she said she went to school with our girls. Then she floored me by saying she spent the night at our house with our oldest and remembered our little black dog, Haley.
Haley used to herd the kids running around our front yard by keeping them away from the street. She'd also torture Shannon, our oldest, by running past and tripping her by grabbing her shoe laces. Then try to drag her around the yard by her ponytail. Parenting could be amusing in the late eighties.
