If the metal in the oil concerns you, you can get an aftermarket magnetic oil drain plug. It will pick up metal out of the oil separate from the filter screen. I just changed my DLX oil at 2000 miles. The filter screen was clean, but the magnetic oil plug had picked up a small amount of metal. I am using Rotella T4.
