Getting VERY disgusted with Fed Ex!!!

I ordered gauges the 1st of the month. They where shipped from Chonquing 10-21 and have been sitting in Hong Kong for 5 days now!!! When i talked to Fed Ex a few minutes ago they told me the plane schedule to fly my packages is having mechanical issues. SERIOUSLY?? They only have 1 plane!!!!!

Being a former pilot, it is quite possible that they have only one plane. The airports maybe be small in that area. They may have a single aircraft dedicated to flying that route. They are on an island after all.

I get it but after 5 days you would think a company as big as fedex would have it figured out. Imagine the backlog?? Normally it's 5 days from Chonquing to here. I have done this a dozen times without issue. From the Hong Kong airport webpage....

"We are the world's busiest cargo gateway and one of the world's busiest passenger airports. In 2016, HKIA handled 70.5 million passengers and 4.52 million tonnes of air cargo. It is connected to 220 destinations, including over 50 in the Mainland, through around 1,100 daily flights by more than 100 airlines."

These packages shipping from Hong Kong often take 2 weeks. I bought a watch from there October 7 and received it Oct 23 if that gives you an idea. 16 days to FL. It is a long wait...

Problem is that in order to get the replacement part for the plane, they need to ship it to Hong Kong. Of course that would be difficult as their one plane is broken.

Now they are shipping it by boat from America which of course doesn't export much anymore so they are waiting for that boat to be filled. I'm guessing you will see your clusters in August.

If they are running only one plane to Hong Kong, that tells you all you need to know about how much business they are getting there. If there was a plane load a day, they'd be there to pick the loads up. Fed Ex is not a charity. They have to make a profit in order to survive. Believe me, if the business was, or gets to be there, they will be on it like a tall dog on a meat wagon...ARH

Called again this morning and same excuse. Looking back over a dozen shipments i have done the last 2 years, The longest i have waited to receive a shipment is 6 days, Shortest 4 days. Meanwhile my e-mail is blowing up from people wanting clusters. Been out for 3 weeks now.......

From Fex Ex tracking. "No scheduled delivery date available at this time."

Ahhh the joys of being an importer. That was one of my nephew's biggest concerns when looking to sell the hawk in his store. Not having a bike to sell for 3 months.

Cant wait, I put my order in on Oct 3 and I was starting to get worried. The stock dash is not all that bad just hard to read when going fast or at night. Im hoping the digital dash fixes these issues.
