took the day off work today and decided to put some miles on my bike. I went up to skyline and had lunch at Alice's. I continued the ride on highway 84, La Honda to the coast to San Gregorio State Beach, I took a second to enjoy the view and headed home. The ride was about 70 miles all together and I had a blast. The top picture is of skyline about 7 miles south of Alice's in-between Woodside Rd. and Pagemill. and the second is on the first cut-out off 84 at San Gregorio State Beach.

Bike looks great.

I'm glad you are enjoying the amazingly stunning beauty of the area you live in.

My advice:

You can leave the Bay Area but don't leave California.

Much of the state is even MORE beautiful but less crowded and much more affordable. You can even leave the liberals if you so choose, although their politics will continue to influance the state.

I want more pics please.

Fast doc

I lived in Arizona for 5 years for college. Been home almost a year now and I'm not going to live anywhere else besides California. It was a nice change of scenery and made me appreciate it's beauty a lot more. Safe to say I was born here I'm gonna live here and I'm gonna die here.

Wel,l I was born in NJ but my 'home' was always California.

I lived there 12 years, in the Bay Area and Gold Country, which BTW is 1,000% nicer than the city....

I've been in exile for 6 years. I plan to move back in about 10 years and stay there.

I live in a WONDERFUL AMAZING BEAUTIFUL place here in Washington, but the winter makes me long for home.

I love the Gold country area. Always getting gas and lunch on our way to Tahoe in placerville or Hang Town as one from the past may call it. Volcano is one of my favorite, you really feel like you stepped back in time. I cannot wait to go riding around that part of the state. I love the city though and will stay in the area...most likely who knows though.

I'm from Sonora. Another Chinarider recently moved to Volcano.

When I move back it's to SLO County, likely Paso Robles.

I know a police detective who works for the university's police dept. in SLO, doc. Maybe he can get you out of tickets, LOL

I often hear the call of Fresno calling me home. Haven't been in Cali since '98. One day I'll leave the flatness of Florida and head home to the mountains of California

Doc can't survive 'flat'.

I love to visit Florida in the wintertime. I'll pick a conference there, and when it's done rent a Harley and explore a few days.

I love the Everglades and of course the beach, but as far as riding goes I'll take the desert, or the mountains of the West.

Anytime you're up in Volcano, look us up. It's always a nice day to take out the Q up here. Lot's to see. Black Chasm, Indian Grinding Rock, etc...etc... Like I say to folks...."We live where people camp."

Road to Los gatos to watch the fight last night took 280 and 85 stayed in the slow lane behind some old people going very slow. Bike did great kept with the flow of traffic for the most part. Took high 9 and 35 home at night beautiful pitch black evening. Great ride.

My brother lives in Los Gatos. Nice town. I bet the traffic is pretty thick now though. :roll:
