Ride invitation to ride offroad south of Denver, 4/10

I've been invited to ride near Rampart Range Road on Sunday 4/10, by a prospective RX3 buyer and he said I could open it up to this group

We'll start out on Perry Park Road and turn on Dakan road toward Rampart Range Rd. They're all paved or improved dirt roads, requiring minimal offroad skills, but beautiful scenery. There may be some snow or ice on Rampart, but we'll turn around if it's bad.

Here's a map of our probable route.

Here's a link to the local forecast. Scroll down and click on Sunday to get an hourly breakdown.

PM me for directions and details if you'd like to go.

I might join you guys if the start is not too early. It'll take me nearly 1 1/2 hours to get to Sedalia.

Cheers,

Dan K.

Joel,
What time are you thinking? I have an 8 am tee time but I could be out that way by early afternoon.

Thanks
Mark

My buddy is still nailing down the time with his friends. He thinks 'late morning', so that probably means around 11am.

Here's the proposed route ... https://goo.gl/maps/SvHkiZEyFo32

Rampart Range Rd was temporarily closed on April 1 due to muddy conditions, so if it's not open, we'll come back a different way. Should be fun regardless.

Due to a rider request and some concern about the weather, we're trying to nail down a 9am meet time in Littleton at the NoNo's Cafe parking lot.

I doubt it will be later than 10am, but I'm waiting for confirmation from the other group.

Click here for the latest weather forecast for the ride. I've also updated the first post with these links.

I don't have a RX3 but if you don't mind me tagging along, I might be able to get the OK from the Mrs.

I would be on my KLR650 and would also have to bring my own food for the road (having Food Allergies sucks!).

Azhule,
My better half, Marzhere, will be riding her Orange RX3 that she allowed me to take to Baja a few weeks ago. So, I will be on my '07 KLR as well.

We are going to join the ride in Sedalia at Hwy 67 and Perry Park Rd (Hwy 105), since we live out in Parker.

Thanks
Rojo

Jealous...we're leaving town tomorrow. I love riding down in that area. If you guys do it again this season, I'd love to come along!

Smile

Ok everybody, it's official ... we're meeting at 9am Sunday morning at NoNo's cafe

I know we're coming in from all over (Dan and I are 60-90 minutes from there), so we'll try to wait for everyone. Rojo_grande and marzhere are meeting us in Sedalia, and we don't want to keep them waiting, so let's shoot for kickstands up by 930 at the latest.

I'm bringing a packed lunch, but if we decide to eat in Sedalia or somewhere, that works for me too.
