Very cool. I have five years until my kids will be old enough (son will be 18.) for me to try something like this. This info will come in handy. Thanks 8)

I live in south miss. near biloxi but i drive 18 wheeler and have seen alot of the area they talk about.Also checkout www.transamtrail.com This is the guy who makes the maps for that ride.Definantley interested in doing some of it myself but first need to get a dual sport.650 vstar and Johnny Pag chopper not up for those runs.

I agree about this Maine is a paper producer and there are 1000's and 1000's of acres in Northern ME interspersed with nice dirt roads for the pulp trucks. The guy I drive 18 wheelers for part time and I have long planned to do this. Schedules money and one or the other not having a bike at the time have prevented it thus far. The paper companies welcome trail riders but the pulp trucks always have the right of way both by design and physics. Your talking 600hp rough service KW's pulling 3 48ft pulp trailers at 30-40 mph. Like an Australian road train. You give them ALL THE SPACE THEY NEED!
