Mikuni Jet Suggestions

New Exhaust Installed, new Carb on fed ex truck, and a Uni pod air filter ready for the carb.
Elevation here in Utica, NY is 600' what would be a good starting point for Mikuni Carb Jets?

as chuck suggested the 115 main jet should be ok with the aftermarket exhaust just make sure you are getting enough air into the carb, i am about an hour north of where you are i cut my air box open installed a K&N filter cut out the cat converter cut the spark arrester i have the mikuni carb with a 110 main jet 22.5 pilot jet the air mix screw is one turn out and the needle clip is in the middle slot. i can start the bike from a cold start on half choke and once it warms up it will run perfectly through all gears at all ranges of the motor.

125/30 is pretty fat for the hawk. I think the higher in elevation the less fuel you need.

I have a 110/20 combo. I'm a little lean down low so I made up for it with needle and screw. I will fix that when it warms up with a 22.5 or a 25.

(I forget what the stock pilot is, I think 20?? the main in mine was 98)

I guess I should not mess with it,wot the bike does not bog down and not a single back fire with the 115-30.

Stock pilot is 20 on the Mikuni clones. Where are you getting yours? I wanted to put a 30 in but I can't find ones that fit.

try the CR/YZ pilots thats what fit in mine, i have used mikuni carbs for many years in different things so i had a few jets on hand, but these ones that we are dealing with now are clones so they may not set up the same as a legit Mikuni would be. i settled with a 22.5 for the pilot,
i would have to believe that you could find them on E-Bay or Amazon fairly cheep.

I've purchased dozens of main jets and slow jets for 30mm Mikuni carbs (so-called clones) on eBay over the years. I also have a pin vise and a 61-80 drill bit set for custom-drilling of slow jets. That complements my regular numbered drill bit set that only goes as small as 60.

The ebay main jet set I got was close, but it didn't fit. The thread pitch was ever so slightly off. Luckily they were cheap.

The good news is that Mikuni OEM jets do fit the clones, you can get them from jets'r'us; 'OEM equivalent' works fine.

Mains:

Pilots:

I'm running 27.5/110 at the moment on a stock bike, though I think a 25 would be absolutely fine.

@2lz is to thank for digging these out.
