G'day

Hi all from west Australia
Just got a 2007 zs250-5 cruiser (storm?) with 4000 on the odo
Everything is great it runs like a dream however today the speedo had a bit of a fit then stopped working, suspecting a speedo cable I did some dismantling and hey surprise no cable it's electric!!! So search for the fuse box ...... Can't find it
Has anyone any ideas re the problem or where the bloody fuse box is hidden.
The speedo still does it's once around when turning the ignition on I'm confuzzled.
I love the look and love riding her need to do practical test in two weeks and definitely need a speedo
Cheers people

fuse box? on a chinabike? hmm. behind the headlight? under the seat? i only have one fuse near the battery and i doubt yours is more high tech, but could be wrong of course.
broken wire more likely IMHO

did you search for a wiring diagram?

sorry, i dont know your bike. but if it s electric, does it have a sensor somewhere? and does that wire connect to the speedo? then check for continuity with a multimeter. maybe just a loose connection. you gotta take her apart and check it out.

the wiring can be a bit iffy, like too tight or too small on these chinabikes, give it a good once over.

Welcome Jurien! We're gonna need pics of your bike.

I'll be quite interested in how the pickup works. After you sort it out, please let us know if the sensor is at the front wheel or in the transmission.

Welcome; we are glad you joined us.

The Zongshen ZS250-5 is a nice looking motorcycle, and it has a good reputation for reliability. I'm sorry, but I can't find a wiring diagram for your bike.
