My Hawk

Hello folks, just thought I would make a post about my bike.

2016 Hawk 250
I bought the Hawk back in November, so far this is what I've done to her:

Digital cluster
Iridium plug
LED blinkers
OPT7 LED headlight
full exhaust
MSR shift arm
Mikuni clone, (running a 120 main, seems a bit fat though)
air box mod
blinker beeper delete
RK O-ring chain
burrito tube

I have a set of Kenda k760 trakmaster tires I have not installed yet (need DOT rating). also I have some sprockets that I have not toyed with yet.
soon I will do grips and a storage box behind the plate.
I left off some plastic bits, I just did not like the look at all.
please pay no mind to my filthy garage, its winter.
Here are some photos.

No, way!!!!!

Motocheez has his own line of key rings????!!!

Just kidding....great work on the Hawk!!!

Would love to see a photo of the headlight 'in action' if you can get a photo of it illuminating down the road or a wall or both.

If you have any unwanted light patterns as I did on low beam..... to find where to block them just put your finger over the head light lens. I painted them out. If it is bad on upper left your finger over lower right will knock it out. Mine were on the low beam, high beam was perfect on a klx.

Nice looking bike. Those better not be phone pictures or I'm tossing my Cannon camera out.

Here is the headlight, this is low beam, high beam is a bit brighter but its hard to show the difference. this is as low as I can adjust the light, gotta take it apart and see whats going on.
I'm planning on changing the headlight housing to an old school 7" round headlight at some point anyway.

October 30 when I brought the bike into the entryway of the house. I did knock over pretty much everything that was on the floor...

I'm still waiting for a picture to see if I'm the only person that needs a hex wrench to adjust the valves. No flash because my camera yelled at me.

I needed a hex wrench too. I ended up breaking mine because it is made of plastic. I went to the parts store and matched the thread pitch and got the smallest one on the shelf. If you got my route make certain your new oil plug does not interfere with your inner engine parts.

mine is not hex key, my MCO states 2016.
valve cover was 10mm bolts and the valve adjuster was square from memory,
like the adjustment screw on an Acetylene tank.
I adjusted both valves to .002", dead cold. seems to be working nice so far.

Does the motor really redline at 10k?
And second question, For anyone hat has that cluster. How long did it take to come in once you ordered it? Thanks.
