Haha nice spot.. Thanks spud it runs like a different bike, rejetted,moose air filter and t4 exhaust. I'm super happy and I haven't even started dialing in the carb yet

The exhaust looks great and hope the bike is performing alot better now, with that said I have a few questions for you: Are you still running the AIS system? Why haven't you put some brake cleaner on that seat logo to remove it? Do you really need passenger pegs and the rear grab bars? Are you still running the stock gearing? From personal exprience use ny-loc or locking nuts on all of the exhaust mounting bolts and make sure that the new lower exhaust mount is a proper gauge and strength steel to support any off-road riding. JTCAndrews original idea of using a steel conduit clamp is a good one only as long as you double it for a secure/strong mount.

Yes I am still running the AIS system. I wasn't sure what that was so I googled it..lol will removing or bypassing it help and do you have it removed on your bike? If it will run better I'll remove it though I might need some instruction.

I've been meaning to take the seat logo off I just don't have any brake cleaner..lol but I'm getting ready to replace the shoes when they get here from ebay, so I'll do it then. I do use the pegs and grab bars so I have to leave them on.. Though I think it would look better w/o them. I'm still running factory gearing.

Great idea on the locking nuts for the exhaust, I'll defiantly do that. I've just got the exhaust rigged on for now.. My neighbor has a metal shop and I'm going to have him fab me some nice brackets. Wish I could find a way to extend the pipe 3" then the silencer would bolt right up to the original bolt hole.

I'm thinking I should remove or disable the AIS system from my bike thanks to Trevort. Though I am not sure how to go about it?

This link shows a couple pics, the system I have on my bike is the first pic. The links says it could possibly give me 2hp by removing it? Is this true and could it possibly damage my bike by removing it? I could use some input on this before I mess with it. thanks

As for the Ais removal goto to the local autoparts store and buy an assortment of vacuum plugs, it should come in a kit with assorted sizes. 1st remove the hose coming from the steel tubing at the front of the engine just beside the exhaust and put the proper size vacuum cap on it. 2nd remove the line going to the top of the carburetor right in front of your air screw and then cap that. 3rd remove the hose going to the top right side of the airbox on the exhaust side and cap it. 4th unbolt the Ais unit from the frame mount under the right tank side panel and then throw it in a box and forget about it and hope that you never need to use it ever again. You could always make a professional looking plate to replace the steel tubing or leave it as is

So did you see any HP gain with the removal of the AIS? Just wondering.. I'm defiantly going to remove it anyway it makes horrid noises from around 3800-4800rpms..

I removed the AIS, I capped off the steel tube @ the front of the engine. But I didn't cap off the carb and air box. Instead I removed the "Y" fittings and ran the hoses straight from the black cylinder thing "I'm not sure what it is? An air pump?" to the carb and air box. The bike seems to run the same. Should I cap off the carb and air box? And if I do that should I cap off the black cylinder thing as well?

Remove the air injection system pump/the AIS from the bike and cap off the carburetor and airbox. You should be good to go after doing that

Cool thanks I'll cap the carb and air box. I said the bike runs the same, but I forgot to mention that it no longer pops and backfires on deceleration.

Btw what is the "black cylinder thing" that the hoses run to? It's strapped to the frame under the seat.

The small module in the upper left looks like it comes from the gas tank, maybe a vent? I'm not sure because I haven't pulled the tank yet and I can't tell by just looking. The bigger hose connects to the air box and the smaller hose under the big one connects to the carb. If this cylinder thing is just a charcoal filter I would like to eliminate it. But I'm still unsure. Any input would help, thanks
