XF 200 jets?

O.k. I'm ordering the pro circuit t-4 system that Trevort recommended today.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/231175131958...84.m1423.l2649

Also ordering a moose racing air filter.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/MOOSE-RACING...8d5b7f&vxp=mtr

I was going to go with a k&n 50mm cone, but it seems from what I've read that the bs carbs don't like not having an air box so I figure I won't mess with that...

I'm still unsure on what jets to order? I've read that most ppl have changed to the 35 genuine mikuni main jet and I'm unsure if I need to change the needle too? Could use some help on this. Links for the right jets needles and advice please. Thank you

Forget Ebay for jets and goto Jetsrus.com look for Mikuni Bs Carburetor jets. Order a few different sizes like: Main 127.5, 130, 132.5 and the smooth side pilot jets 35, 37.5 the non-Mikuni jets work just fine as the o.e. ones. As for running a k&n pod style airfilter: I run one of these on my bike and have no probelm with a lack of back pressure due to not having an airbox and also no popping or back firing on acceleration on under engine braking. I am currentlny running a 142.5 main 37.5 pilot needle in the 3rd clip position and one turn out on the air screw, get you a sharpe paint pen and write your carburetor settings on the float bowl as a reminder in case you forget later what you have done jetting wise.

p.s. please post pics of your bike

I appreciate your input on this Trevort.
I ordered from jets r us right before you posted..lol
I only ordered the 127.5, but if it doesn't work out I'll just order the other jets a little later. I went ahead and got the moose racing air filter, I'm going to keep the air box for now and see how she runs with the t-4 exhaust, 127.5 jet and air filter. I'll probably end up doing the K&N mod this winter.

Pics..

Pretty much stock right now. All the plastics are cracked or broke from the previous owner. The right rear luggage handle was broke so I had it welded and painted them both..getting new flat black plastics, tires, rear brake shoes, tank(flat black),seat(this one looks fine but is worn and uncomfortable to sit on) and some other misc stuff through taobao this winter.

Besides the rear luggage handles the only mods I've done so far are:
Chop the rear plastic fender thing off
Added led lights to the dash and one to the secondary headlight
Fresh pair of new pro taper pillow top grips

That rear fender looks really good, chopped like that. How do you plan to mount the license plate?

I just took a pair of tin snips to it..lol
I live out in the country all dirt and gravel roads so I'm in no hurry to tag it, but I plan on doing the same mod that ostep( think that's spelled right) did. He sent me the link for the tail light on ebay 11 bucks.. Just have to fab a bracket plate to make it and the Lplate fit.

Pic of osteps bike tail light mod, I think it looks sweet!

I'm having trouble finding these at jets are us. Are the pilot jets the same as needle? Sorry I'm kinda a carb noob.. the only carb work I've ever done was take apart and clean an old Ktm 125 carb...got it working and running great though..

The "smooth side" pilot jets located at the top of the page are the jets you need

I did the same mod on my TW200 and my Lifan. Easy.

I thought that maybe you were going to try and use your existing taillight. I was interested in that because I have a spare one.

Thank you again man! That's the kind I ordered so it it looks like I'm in good shape as long as the 127.5 works good.. I have a feeling I'll be ordering some other ones though.

Thanks for posting the photos of your XF200. The XF200 is not only attractive, it is also a very good, little motorcycle.
