Hi All! Welcome!

Why do people keep saying these Chinese bikes are beginner bikes? If anything, they are for advanced riders/mechanics, as they require a keen eye and diligent maintenance.

Is it because they are inexpensive? I assure you if you treat your KTM like I have seen some of these treated, they would be junk as well.

Here's mine

Bought it to go exploring the desert of Arizona around Tucson etc. Comes with features the Jap and American don't have, like a kick and electric start.

Good size tank, 12L simple air cooled and carbureted. Easy on the eyes and handles great. A bit gutless, but a few mods and it should be OK. Since in AZ we do not require to burn a headlight, the switch to cut the lights off is awesome. Don't find that on the others.

I just bought Protaper fatbars for the Bashan today, and going to order up a Trailtech Voyager.

I thought the title was funny myself. After all, this is the Chinarider forum isn't it?

Here is my Husky. Not as thrilled with it as I used to be. Still a great orphan of a bike. Lots and lots of power. May hang onto it for extended touring. I have a trip to the Grand Canyon coming up next month, and think I am going to opt for the 250, if I can get it set up in time. I'll make sure I log it and do an RR.

Thanks, I'm in Tucson. You know they just opened up Pipe Organ National Monument for riding again right?

Don't know if I would take my 250 out there, Ajo Highway is a fast road and I probably would get mowed down.

Do you bust down into Mexico very often?

My little in town errand bike below.

You are across the state from me. I have been meaning to get out and see the state via 200cc Chinese bike, as well as westward to California, and southwest to Mexico, but had an accident last October. The bike is fine, for the most part, but I would like to get a new TMEC 200 before the distributor stops importing them! I am not familiar with the distributor of the Denalli 200 (same TMEC, different badging) and I like to have a one on one basis friendship with the distributor of my bikes, LOL. I guess my next bikes are a TGB 50cc scooter and a 50cc Madass because that will be his only bikes he carries, until TGB brings in their next bikes; 150cc and 264cc...

Yeah, not too far, I have been through Yuma a few times on the way to San Diego. I think I fill up at the Loves Truck stop.

There allegedly is a border road that could take you to Nogales, or vs versus, to Yuma. Might be fun.

I looked at a TMEC before I ordered my bike up. Did not like the build quality. Probably OK, but still, just not that good. This Bashan I have just seems so much better. I almost bought the Hawk from Killer Motorsports (rickymotors) $1300 delivered, but just opted for the Bashan as I have been after it for awhile. I like the Bashan (LHJ) engine with the counter balance shaft. Dang it is smooth, even revving it.

You are closer to CALI, so I would just drive to LA area and pick one up. Lots of good choices.
