Thanks for letting us know about your discovery of this bulb, Detours.

The H4 bulb appears to be longer than the H13 bulb, so you are wise to seek the dimensions of the H4 bulb before purchase. Please do keep us updated.

I haven't been able to find dimensions on this exact GENSSI H4 LED, but this copycat H4 LED on ebay measures 93mm or 88mm, depending on heatsink orientation.

My current H4 LED measures 100.4mm.

That's about 1/2 inch shorter than my current LED, so I'm going to take a chance and order it.

I like it, Joel. While watching the video and how they're tuning it, I started pondering how to link the heat sink to a windshield wiper unit to give the effect of a MARS light like on locomotives.

Must be time for my meds again.
jay...maybe something like a potentiemoter (spell) to vary the voltage to give a pulsing effect perhaps. i'm with ya..

when you consider that it is under constant use (night and day), $60 is not so bad.

I've got to start writing some of this stuff down, good products.

If you can remember, please post a link to the LED headlight bulb you purchased.

I like that the power supply is built into the heatsink. If you get a chance, I would love to see pics of the light pattern.

I went ahead and ordered the cheap one like Wille dog got, just for my little bashan.

Detours ... I think we can safely say you are the official headlight guru for this site. If it's as good as you say, Your report should be the end all for the rx3 led headlight solution

That's wonderful. We eagerly await your thread.

If you have time, please consider taking photos of the beam patterns for the H4 headlight versus the Genssi LED headlight.
