Mash x-ride 650

Well here is new model. Well not totally new I guess. Looks like this 650 is rated at 40hp which is close to KLR specs. The bike comes in at 4,999bp. Since british pounds are close to usd, this would be close to $4,999. Would you pay 5g's for this?

Due to the epa we will probably never get a model like this here.

That does look nice. I also like the looks of the mash 400 adventure.

price is high to me, compared to a good used triumph for $5k.

4,999 British pounds is $6540 U.S dollars. I’m not sure I would pay that much for that bike.
But that’s just me.

It looks great but the french do not build good cars. How would the bikes fare. Agree with imapdog , I can get a used triumph cheap.

Here is a pic (I hope)
Looks a lot better than a KLR IMHO.

For sure. My KLR is UGLY. But it will run forever and will go pretty much anywhere. KLR vs mash is not a fair comparison.

Mash vs any smaller scrambler is. It looks good for sure.

The KLR deserved a better exterior that Kawasaki gave it over the years. I think Kawasaki's main concern was that they wanted it to be easily distinguishable from the big singles from BMW, Suzuki and Honda. Indeed, it was.

I like the look, especially the round headlight and gas tank. The EPA probably won't pass it here because there's too much ring blow by on a 650 single cylinder. I read an article recently that said the EPA wasn't going to certify any new single cylinder engine designs that were over 400cc and big dualsport bikes would have to be twins. But who knows.

I guess that is one reason KTM has opting for twin cylinders on the bigger Dukes.

Not a bad looking bike, but its way overpriced compared to other options and as some one already pointed out the French don't exactly have a stellar record for producing quality, durable motor vehicles of any sort.

I think it will be a very hard sell at that price point for what it is but i have certainly been wrong before.

if they'd stick that in a Himalayan at the same price, then we'd have a good comparison.
