Thanks for posting the great link, Weld.
 I assume this engine would bolt into the frame without modifications; am I correct?

I've never tried it, but I'm pretty sure it shares the same external frame of architecture.

I think the Piranha engine also lacks an electric starter.

Ok, I got there a few minutes after the show started and took me about ten minutes to find the CSC booth. Met both Matt and Ryan and lucky for me, no one was around their booth yet. Must've spent a good half hour just asking Ryan questions...brake rotors and pads, paint fading, luggage and tire options, etc. He was patient, answered all my questions...just a great guy. Sat on the SE since it had the 19" wheel and high seat. I am 6'1" and around 215lbs and was worried I would look like I was sitting on my old Honda Aero 50 when I got on a RX-3. Remember, I am just some guy who was planning on an Africa Twin...not a china fan by any stretch of the imagination. I can tell you this...for me, the size of the bike is PERFECT. The empty weight, although probably a good 80+ pounds heavier than my XR250L, honestly felt lighter when tilting the bike side to side. I am no motorcycle expert, but I know "fit and finish"...be it a firearm or a motorcycle. It looked good...real good. The plastics, the welds, just everything screamed...I am not made in China. That's something that many of you might not know, China CAN make stuff that has the quality of any other nation, but the key is the "spec sheet." Usually when someone contracts to China, they are asking for cheap stuff. That same Chinese factory that makes optics that gives you a migraine also can make optics that gives the Austrian stuff a run for its money. Obviously, for me, you can see the quality of the "spec sheet" that CSC gave 'em. Ryan said for 2016, besides the silver, they have a different orange, like a KTM orange. The paint has UV inhibitors so fading shouldn't be an issue.
My apologies to Spud... After taking a pic of the booth, the crowds suddenly appeared. Trying to take pictures was a waste of time with all the people wondering around. The other problem was, I didn't find too many of the other bikes to my liking. Hell, the KLR looked like a pig after sitting on the RX3...so forget about the Beemers, too. Seemed like most of the bikes had a car engine crammed into the frame. I did find the Royal Enfield a pretty cool bike and appeared to be a pretty good quality build. The two hour drive was definitely worth it! Got to really check out the RX3, bought the book, and learned quit a bit. Our house in Moscow is supposed to sell in a couple of weeks and soon after I will probably order the bike.

 Not all Chinese motorcycles are created equal. Zongshen has a commitment to quality control in manufacturing. My 2006 Zongshen Sierra (ZS200GY-2) was built much better than the typical Chinese motorcycle. In the last 9 years, Zongshen has improved quality even more. Did you move from Moscow, Idaho to Reno?

Yup, moved here in July from Moscow... So Jay, I live in Reno. I just went through my goody bag from the show, and I got one of these giant postcards from CSC on the RX3. On the back, there is a 20% off coupon on all accessories when you purchase an RX3.....BEFORE June 1, 2015.

I earned two degrees from the University of Idaho, in Moscow. Did you attend the U of I?

Not me, Spud, but the wife got her bachelor's and masters there. She was a state 4H Specialist at U of I when we lived there. She now is Nevada's State Director of 4H at UNR. House sale should close in 15 days then it will be new motorcycle time!!!
