Zoan Synchrony Dual sport helmet

took a chance on an ebay helmet this past week... and in my opinion it paid off...the synchrony has a lot of features packed into a ~$100 helmet... top two are the quick release chin strap and integrated drop down sun shade... in addition you also get a really comfy liner, a cold weather breath box to help keep from fogging up, and an (imo) awesome graphics job....LOL

as for performance, its more comfortable, lighter weight, and quieter than both my hjc motocrosser, and my generic street full face helmets. also this helmet doesn't want to lift at speed or pull my head around at all like my hjc does.....

all in all, I give it 10 out of 10....

They have some nice looking helmets there. Thanks for the tip. I've been looking for a new helmet.

so a bit of an update... I have an issue ( no biggie) with my glasses fogging up on cool mornings... LOL not the shields, just my glasses... I am assuming that's due to my glasses needing replacement.... LOL but just a heads up, glasses will try and fog up....

Thought I would add to this. I got one after seeing this post and wanting to try out an "adventure" helmet. I ordered mine from Amazon for about the same price as the site on Ebay. I wore it for a 100 mile ride with a mix of speeds. Here's my review:

Pros
Wider field of vision
Great airflow.
Drop down visor goes lower then others I've had.
Beak on top blocks out sun (primary reason I was trying out helmet)
Nice fit. I wear an XL and it is perfect

Cons
It's loud but most helmets are. Nothing that ear plugs can't fix.
There was a few times that the beak caught the wind when I turned my head. Nothing bad, it was just something that I had to adjust to.

That's it on the cons. As for the noise, I found that the helmet was louder with the shield all the way down. This makes sense as all the air is passing underneath creating a vacuum. I fixed that by opening the shield slightly. Which brings up another pro. I like to ride with the shield slightly open anyway. This one doesn't seem to have defined stops in the shield position. I really like this as I can open it slightly to increase the air flow, get rid of the extra noise, and the air doesn't shoot into my eyes that has happened on other helmets.

So all and all, I'm pleased with the purchase. Thanks Bogieboy for letting us know about this helmet.

i will say that yeah, the beak can catch the wind a bit when turning your head, but its nowhere near as bad as the motocross style helmets....
