Hello

I'm Edwards bought the hawk 250 dlx efi about 2 weeks ago and still haven't ridden it because at 6009rpms the engine cuts out, gotta pop the clutch and feather the throttle to keep her running.

Welcome aboard! That doesn't sound normal. Check that the spark plug is securely set in place. If it has the cheap Torch spark plug, i would replace it with a good NGK plug.

Air leaks around the carburetor, slide cover or intake maybe.

Welcome, Edwards. Is your Hawk throwing any check engine codes?
