Grin 167fmm which valveguide is the bigger one.

Hi folks,

My 4 wheeler has a 167fmm pushrod motor and I decided to freshen it with new piston/rings and valves guides/valves and seals.

I managed to get the valve guides out without damaging the head, however I did mangle the old guides (I tapped them with a 6mm tap and then used a socket and a 6mm high tensile bolt to pull them out. I did damage the top and bottom of the old guides though by trying the press first.

Long story short, I have new guides to go in and one is half a centimeter longer than the other and I dont know if the longer one is intake or exhaust. Can anyone help?

Also has anyone taken out the base gasket and used liquid gasket instead for a small compression boost?
