Before

After. Excuse me for bragging but I'm proud of saving the old house. We use it for a guest house. It was built back in the 1930s and didn't have indoor plumbing or running water.

XF200 in the back of the little trailer.

They sent an extra inset for the front fender

May I PLEASE buy that or have it?

That's a recently added feature this model year mine does not have it. My front fender will flop down from inertia and hit the tire coming off of large whoops or small jumps.

I asked Q to send me one and they would not. Now they sent you two!

The oil filter is a Fram 131 or equavilent.

I've never seen a center stand on a dirtbike but I agree it would be nice. The extra weight would be an issue, flopping down on jumps and dragging would all be bad however.

FastDoc,
Thanks for the filter number. My Suzuki filters are too long.

I've got one on my XT225 and it's great for fixing flats, oiling/adjusting the chain, etc.
Never been a problem with dragging or flopping in 5k miles.

Also have one on my CT70 clone.

FastDoc,
They sent five with the bike and I only needed four so I only have one of the metal inserts and no extra rubber grommets. I will be happy to send you the metal part but I'm afraid one won't do you any good.
PM me with your address and I will mail it to you if you want it.

Sorry I didn't take any more assembly photos but I was on a roll. Not much to it. Install front wheel, handle bars, controls, check fasteners, air tires, etc.

Installed the battery this morning and fired her up. Started right up.

Warmed her up and changed the oil. Didn't have the right filter. Thanks FastDoc for the right number.

Rode her down to the local gas station and filled her up. Had put in about a gallon at home and then 1.8 gallons at the gas station.

Running good do I decided to ride up to Deal's Gap (aka The Dragon). Breaking her in by the book so kept it under 5k RPM. Hard to do.

Took a break at a dam.

Deal's Gap.

Tree of Shame. Hope I don't add any Qlink parts.

Put about 200km on her and she purrs like a kitten. I believe this bike is Japanese quality. I'm impressed with it. Gonna be had to stay within the break in routine.

She needs at least another tooth on the front sprocket and maybe some off the back sprocket. I'll do the 16 front first.

Put a couple of aluminum straps on the front forks to make it easier to tie down in the trailer.

That old house must've had a good foundation.
Weldangring,
I had to jack up the house, dig out the bank, stand up the walls on the uphill side, and then reinforce the foundation with lots of rebar and concrete.
It ain't going any where now.

Whoa. 8O

At that point, you likely considered jacking the whole house up and making new concrete forms. What a lot of work.

Great job though. Congrats on saving an old house.

Is this bike the Q version of Spud's Zong? What size is the rear tire?

No, the QLink XF200 has two, 17-inch wheels. The stock Zong comes equipped with an 18-inch, front wheel, and a 15-inch, rear wheel. Also, the QLink engine is a copy of the Suzuki, DR200SE engine, while the Zong engine is a copy of the Yamaha, TW200 engine.

Great pics! Thank you.

It would be nice if SPUD posted some pics of his new XR, I'm just sayin' 8)

The fender piece I'm looking for I don't think is what you have an extra of. Its the plastic upper reinforcement.

FastDoc,
Could the oil filter be a K&N 131 instead of a Fram 131?
Thanks,
