Viva 200cc stuck is 5th gear!!!

So i just replaced my battery n went for a gentle cruise. After 5 mins of riding i went to downshift and noticed i couldnt. Shift out of 5th? Is this a common problem ? And anyone have a video of repair or clutch cover removale? Its my first bike and not 100 percent how it works

First thing to check is that nothing external is preventing the shift lever from moving, like loose bolt backed out of the sprocket cover.

That would be on the shifter side of the motor?

Yes, sometimes those bolts will back out just enough to get in the way of the shifter.

From what he is describing , he can't shift out of 5th gear. It could be something simple as something obstructing the shift lever to a stopper plate bolt or pin broken or lose or dislocated.

You have a picture of the sprocket cover...sorry man im learning as i go

It's the cover over the front chain sprocket on the left side of the engine.

It doesn't look like anything stopping it from working there. I would pull the right side cover off and inspect the shifting mechanism. Make sure nothing is out of place.
