Hawk 250 - 1,292 miles

Here's a pic of my Hawk with 1,292 miles on it. It runs better each time I get on it. My mods are:

17 tooth front sprocket
Mikuni Carb (115 / 30 jets)
Phone Mount
12v cigarette lighter adapter for USB charging

Highest speed: 62.9 mph so far --- cruises easily at 59

What's the (s)Miles per gallon? And is that number the actual dash readout? Unless you got a digital one, the stockers are usually in Km

I ride mine pretty much WOT all the time, and im usually getting around 120mi per 2 gallons. About 60 mpg.

If you rode it more sensibly at the bottom of 5th gear, im sure you could get 80.

One time I filled up after riding mostly like that, and I got 75.

I think the rims are steel based on the weight when I installed the front wheel on my Hawk.

Yup...but I've only seen QLinks/Konkers run alluminum rims on full sized CBs.

I think the new TT250 has aluminum rims, along with another. Can't remember... Storm maybe?

mine was high about 3 to 4 mph. the digital speedo replacement is about 1 mph low (set on 19 inch wheel setting). these numbers are based on GPS speedo app on my phone.
