I'm still dreaming there's a chance I can convert my X-Motos/Gio 250 over to street legal. If not I may as well sell it and save up for a street bike. California is one of the few states that you can easily get a conversion title from dirt to street if you make the necessary modifications. I read up on it and numerous stories about the inspectors barely even looking the bikes over which isn't surprising. They have zoning in some areas that allow you to drive 4 wheelers on the streets listed 35 mph and under.

Unfortunately I'm about 3000 miles from California lol

California isn't the only State that allows DS conversions. Which State / Province do you live in?

I would put some paint onto the tank.
Or stripes or whatever with color.
In my eyes.. picture 1 has the best looking gastank.
I would either do that or paint the windshield black also.

But thats just me =)
Nice bike, life is wonderful with this machines i think.
You dont want to burn and go crazy with them but rather enjoy the freedom and nature by slow pace so that you have time to consume the surrounding.

Looking at your pics then i quite jelous by your nature. Looks awesome to run around in..

A lot of people like the stock, fuel tank shroud. However, the fuel tank beneath the shroud only has a 2-gallon capacity. My aftermarket, Clarke fuel tank has a 4.1-gallon capacity.

What happens to this great bike now that you have the RX3? I imagine you are keeping it right?

You mention about new wheels on this. Did this have an 18" rear tire from the factory? What rubber you going to run on the RX3, it has a 17" rim rear. I cannot find a decent tire for the rear. Maxxis makes a tire in the size, a little wider than I may want, and a little aggressive tread for the dirt. Where do you get tires?

Needless to say, I am keeping my Zongshen ZS200GY-2 (Sierra); it is rapidly approaching 69,000 miles on the odometer. My Zong came stock from the factory with a 15-inch rear wheel, and an 18-inch front wheel. I performed a Yamaha, XT225 swingarm conversion, and switched to the 18-inch, XT225 rear wheel.

I think I will next mount a pair of Shinko 244 tires to my Zongshen RX3. For the rear wheel I will mount a size 4.60-17 tire.



For the front wheel I will mount a size 3.00-18 tire, as I once did with my Zongshen Sierra.

After 70,000 miles of riding, I dropped my Zong and submerged the engine in a mud pond. Therefore, I retired the Zongshen engine, and installed a 1992, Yamaha XT225 engine. I also decided to paint the bike blue. Here are several photos of my rejuvenated, blue Zongshen motorcycle.
