Neutral was a bear in my son's bike as well. Good quality synthetic oil helped a bit.

when you go from 13/41 to 15/48 you will certainly need a longer chain. thats a big jump!

Not sure I'd trust a circlip near my kid's leg.

Thumbs Down

The dam little chinese shitter tossed the chain... broke the side case & broke the pick up
off the stator plate..
New stator plate/coils/pick up.. only worth $26nz.. At least the parts are
worth almost nothing for these things..

Exactly the reason that I toss China chains in the bin. I usually use an RK or a DID.

Is your Son ok?

Yes.... diddn't do any damage to him..

May have been my falt......
The chain tention works oppisite to a real bike... As the suspesion compresses
the chain gets loser... Not tighter as on ever other bike I have had...
May have had to much free play in it to start with..
Have also ordered a chain guide for it..

This dam little @#$&*% still tosses it chain...
looks like I will have to move the swing arm pivot up
about 40mm to cure the issue... Which is in fact quite easy
to do with the way the arm is mounted...

But first I'm going to try a trick we used on the speedway TQ midget
years ago.... A nylon disc bolted on each side of the sprocket that sits
25mm higher... to guide the chain onto the sprocket... In 4 years of
raceing I never tossed a chain after putting them on...

But other than the chain... it's not a bad little bike for the $...

I wonder what the difference is with your model. My son's 125 never tossed the chain.

Ours was definitely bottom shelf. We paid too much at $800.00 Canadian out of the box. Last year, I saw the big wheel version for $400.00.

The basic platform was ok, but the welds, bearings, seals, chain and sprockets were junk. After I replaced those and took the time to set it up, it was a reliable little machine.

I got thinking about Caleb's bike over the weekend, and I think that we were also having some chain issues in the beginning. The only repair I completed that would have corrected it was to replace the swingarm bushings with Honda parts.

I didn't start a thread on it, but I remember taking the old bushings to Honda, and the guy matched them for me. Good job that he keeps all of the bushings in one box. I paid less than $10 per bushing, and it made all the difference in the swingarm.

It has rubber bushes in the swing arm pivot... i will look at the honda brearings...
I am going to strip it down soon & move the swing arm pivot up 30mm which
is easy to do... make a new spacer tube , drill 2 holes & put the tube though
and weld it there.. I have looked at pics of a few of the higher prised pitbikes
they mount the arm higher up.. that will make the chain tighten instead of lossen
as the arm swings up..
I might also cut the frame just back from the steering head & add 50mm , 2" into
it..As I see there is a 2" longer version frame... longer frame would be better as caleb grows..

It also need a new shock... The spring seems to have compressed " to short for the shock now"

An't chinese bikes just so much fun....

PS.... also needs a steering stop that dosn't bend every time it's droped..
