Getting use to this now...

Been going on for over 5 years now...
since the big one the leveled Christchurch..
got woke up just after midnight to the house
rocking around.. main one lasted a couple minutes..

Not alot fell down... everything that can fall down has long ago
hate to have to build now... the building codes are so tight on how
you can build now.... highest earthquake level of construction is required...
If it can't stand up to a magatude 9 you don't get a permart to build..

We rarely have quakes here in the south-east. The few I have experienced were at night and I was awake. It is very disorienting and scary, until you realize what's happening. Then it becomes even scarier because then stuff starts to get tossed around.

I hope everything lays down and everyone can be safe while rebuilding. I know those pesky codes can be a big pain, but they're in place to hopefully save lives.

Glad you and your family are alright. We're getting more accustomed to quakes on the West Coast of Canada as well.

Depending on where you are in CO we have been getting "Fracking Quakes" (earthquakes due to "Fracking/Drilling")... one of my buddies house was moved several feet from it's foundation a few months back from a quake... scary stuff when you never experienced one before!
