Tbr7 jfg exhaust swap flames
So I swapped my exhaust out on my 20/21 whatever you wanna call it tbr7, had. 115 main jet installed in my pz30 clone carb just fired it up for the first time with the new exhaust and I’m seeing flames! Normally I would think that’s a lean condition but from everything I’ve seen people are most commonly using a 115 with a full exhaust any insight here would be helpful

And a quick follow up problem solved I left the front flange from the head loose for fitment reasons so the little bit of fresh air that was able to be sucked in there was causing the after fire issue

Kudos for coming back with the solution, it's helpful to people searching similar issues in the future (or to keep us other fools from making the same mistake)
Glad you got it sorted.

Here’s a quick clip from my YouTube channel of the exhaust tone...it’s got a deeper braap now that it’s got some time to carbon up but it sounds great! Compared to the restrictive stock system I definitely have more power across the rpm range

Here’s a quick walk thru of how it fits and what I did or didn’t have to do compared to similar full exhausts for the tbr7/hawk

Really like the changes I’ve made I put a RK chain “428p” with the 17t front sprocket with the 46t rear I love the gearing now plenty of power to get around the trails while still being street friendly new 1 1/8th bars are so comfortable compared to the stock ones...waiting for shorty levers and a smaller front master so I can roll the throttle tune a little further forward without hitting the brake master Also swapped out the stock carb for a aftermarket pz30...side by side compared to the pz30 that comes on the tbr7 it has a way stiffer return spring so the throttle is nice and crisp...my choke never worked on the stock carb either

Waiting on a digital cluster now should be here in about 10 days or so....I ordered a hawk digital cluster since I’ve seen people convert them to work with the tbr7 figured it would be nice to have a tach I with the cluster...I’m using one now that just wraps around the plug wire similar to what they use in the go cart scene
