I'll be interested to see your work. I'm considering a fairing for my Zong as the cold wet weather is here for the winter.

A windshield and an electric vest +/- electric gloves goes a long way to extending the season for us non SW or Southerners.

Thus equipped, I ride 11 months a year.

On the Gold Wing it's almost cheating. It's like driving a Porsche convertible with the windows down.

As far as electrical draw goes, you should be fine. I had a 1996 XR250L that I used as a commuter for years in the PRK and I ran an electric vest off it's little battery no problems.

I managed year round here. I just packed on the layers.

A co-worker rides his yamaha majesty nearly everyday. 70 miles roundtrip. Just dress for the occasion.

This is the one I have. The air bladder greatly increases the effectiveness. Others are good, and may be cheaper, but I think this one is excellent.

That's great, Jim! Are the lights brighter than stock?

Very creative Jim. You are an excellent problem solver. Has it affected the handling? Has it increased the noise or turbulance?

Is that Lexan that you used? How did you form the bends in it? It looks good.
