Hawk 250 Valve ticking sound

Hello guys! I just rebuilt the hawk engine in the used bike I bought. I've done a valve adjust and made sure there right. I hear a slight tapping sound while riding the bike. It's not nearly as loud as some of the videos on YouTube but it's just a light tapping it sounds like. I was wondering if that's okay or if there should be no tapping at all?

Thanks!

totally normal and ok. If you can't hear them , then that's not good, means valve not able to close all the way cause adjustment is too tight. rj

As the saying goes, "tappy valves are happy valves." As long as it is a light tapping sound, it will be fine. If it sounds like your engine is about to throw a rod, or a gnome is inside your engine whacking away with a little hammer, then you should be worried,
