Oh No Rear lower fender broke

Hi guys!

Don´t know if your CSC RX3 bikes have this "rear lower fender", but I´m sharing my experience just in case.

A couple of days ago found this fender loose someway, even when the two bolts where properly torqued.
After removing those bolts found the inner 3/8" pipes, that holds the plastic frame, where broken just after the soldered joints.

Tomorrow will look for a welding shop to fix this.

Juan Carlos.

Thank you for sharing that, Juan Carlos. The CSC bikes don't have that, but I have seen it on RX3 pictures from other countries.

Hmmm.... I know we've all read here before about dirt or something in the switch causing the stalling problem. I wonder if you had an exaggerated version of the same problem?

just replaced it (pulled the left side plates and lifted the tank to get to the plug) . Its just a 2 wire switch, in a bind you could put a toggle switch or twist the wires together if you were out on the road somewhere stuck. theres 2 bolts holding it in from the bottom.....mine was missing one. has 2 now.

Did you spot any hole in the bottom where dirt or grunge could get in? I think I read that here somewhere....

Rear lower fender broke, part 2

Today got the repairings at the welding shop.
I´m not 100% satisfied with the job done ; will see how it performs in time. Probably next time I´ll try welding by myself

Just applied a layer of Paint to avoid rusting:

And set it back in place :

Nope, no heated gear, just the heated grips on the RX3...but my commute is only about 20 minutes

I took my orange RX3 to a nearby dealer to see if it could make friends with the green newcomer:
