Few bolts left and the motor is out. Fairly simple.

Wonderful support. Honda would have told you to get lost. Downside is doing the work yourself but kinda cool also especially with help.

CSaddict .... Hate to hear of your tranny problem but CSC responsiveness to this issue is extremely satisfying. Real customer support, after the sale mind you, without the often touted benefit of a local dealer to rip you off... Where are the doom and gloom naysayers now? New business approach using good old fashioned customer support as a cornerstone ...who'd a thunk it! I hope you're up and running soon CS.

they should be good at customer surport....
with the few RX3 out there they seem to be having a lot of practise....
"these are only the very few we hear about on this forum"
lucky they have not sold hundred thousond bikes... they be broke a long time ago
with this fail rate...

I was quite intested in the RX3.... might be lucky the out fit that was going to import them
here came to nothing in the end....

Mr Spud got a increadible run out of his little Zong but I'm of the opinion
that thats not the norm.... The RX3 is a giant leap foward from China & Zongshen...

It's alot harder for the Chinamen than what it was for the japs when they started out
Japs only had crap to do better than "Brit/yank bikes" was a easy ask..

Sorry to be so blunt ... just saying it as I see it....

Do you seriously think a month in to ownership of a new Honda ( or any other mainstream brand ) they would tell him to get lost on a tranny issue ?

Engine out. Once it's fixed I may kick it down the road to be honest. I'm already looking for a replacement machine.

I've owned a lot of new bikes of all brands and have never been told to take a walk. With that said I only had one issue ever with the other bikes I purchased new.

CSC is doing their best. Gerry asked what I wanted to do to. I could have taken it somewhere. Don't know of any shops that will work on the bike so that would be the other issue. I just pulled the motor myself. It's really not a big deal.

My comments were not meant towards you ,I was surprised the doc posted that Honda would of told you to piss off on a new bike with so few miles .I have no issue with you taking out the engine either ,I think it's fun ,that's an unfortunate part of buying something from half way across the country ,csc seem to really be trying and are willing to work with you which is the very best they can do considering you are not local to them .

You bet. Google 'Gold Wing ghost shifting'

Even at nearly $30,000 per copy the transmission is a known weak point in the Honda design and the factory genreally refuses to recognize it.

Understandable. This was not a confidence inspiring incident.

I'm not really up on these machines. Have others reported transmission issues? If so may be a design flaw and the new power train could be suspect. Or may have been isolated incident I can't tell.

CS , just curious. Are they paying shipping both ways? Or do you have to pay shipping back?

I have done some reading on the honda ghost shift and they do cover it under warranty .They even offer an extended warranty .One thing though ,is that the ghost shift can't always be replicated by the dealership ,some of the owners couldn't replicate it for the dealership either ,so not sure if they are going to pull apart a gearbox on an unknown .
