Ez Pic Uploads

I know there is a much more EZ way to upload pics from your computer than what is available now on this forum.

Are the Mods interested?

Just my view. :?: I know how you can upgrade for free! Yes Free.

Just public service as this site needs the help in this area.

What are you thinking, like an attachments field in the post box? The current gallery system is pretty good in my opinion, if you get registered for it, you can set it up so you just go to your pictures folder on your computer and click publish to web, and it will upload right to your china riders gallery... (Or do this directly while taking the pictures off the camera)...

Some work could be done to aid in posting images from your gallery though I think...

Another option is a 3rd party solution, such as photobucket or imageshack.

I noticed that ImageShack (and probably PhotoBucket, for that matter) puts trash in your uploads that make the poster look like a spammer

If we could knock out the profiteers, we would be more self-sufficient and keep our computers less cluttered with the inevitable malware embedded with these "free" hosting sites 8O

Now you know WWTTD :!:

There is a lot of free hosting websites out there...Actually that is the problem when it comes to embedded trash with our well composed pics!

(Do fish get thirsty)...Go Figure. Whoever clicks on this sh!t needs to be under constant supervision.

I know that free hosting is the only alternative for this site, (for most of us anyway) but that is the reason for trying to get more bandwidth on this bulletin board! so that we can host our own pics.

I'm not the bulletin board guru, but I think that there is an easier way to publish pics!

We are busy enough trying to help our newer brothers with their legitimate scooter gripes, instead of trying to show them how to post pics and vids to the forum...let alone spending the down-time to sanitize our computer from the trash that gets incuded in our "free" software, hosting cookies, and applicatins 8O .

It would be nice to have a more user friendly way to post images and videos.

Respectfully,
Tigertamer

Webshots is a nice site and I used it a lot with no spam problems whatsoever....But You have to sign up and bla bla. As the site grows I am sure it can figure out a way but even some of the largest sites can't even do that yet so who knows......not a real big deal though.

Ive never had a problem with photobucket... And I don't know what you mean by it making us look like spammers?

One option would be to enable (or upgrade to allow) file attachments with posts.

By spam I mean they post the Host site all over the pic or on it somewhere.

Is this hosting from free Photobucket?

I will have to investigate PhotBucket further. I had poor results with it before.

I don't mean to declare you a spammer, I was referring to the attachments that typically are unintentionally included with some of the free URL hostings! :!:

Thanks,
Tigertamer

Yes sir, that photo is clean as a whistle!

Now I'll try one:

Thanks, again Jim. I remember the problem I had with photobucket was my user name was unavailable so I made an annoyingly long name that I cold not remember so I switched to Imageshack...

Seems my annoyingly long user name is not as annoying as adulterated uploads from marketers

I WILL NO LONGER ENDORSE IMAGESHACK AND THIRSTY FISH ,
Tigertamer

P.S. Does anyone see this image with scroll bars on the side and bottom?

Yes, I see them. Images fit this forum best at 640 x 480.
It also depends on what resolution you are set at. I am
using 1024 x 768 here. The images will look bigger at a
lower resolution. Hope this helps...
