Desert KiLleRs

Another beautiful day! I love Spring!

I got out of work a tad early and Roger met me at my house for a short (1 hour or so) dualsport ride in the local hills. What a great ride. The KLR is starting to amaze me. In the open areas (all we have here) it can do just about anything I want. This thing climbs like a monkey! I totally did not give the big girl enough credit as a decent desert trail bike. :P

You can't tell in the pics but it was a beautiful sunset, and there was just a slight dusting of snow on the highest visible peak. That's Rattlesnake Mountain, about 4,500 feet. We were at about 2,000 feet, and man it got cold when the sun set! 8O

I think that this thread is about the ride, not so much what you were riding.

I'm not sure about the 2004, but the 2009 is made in Thailand... My geography is bad but I think that's closer to China than Japan .

Cheers,
Stew

Good point! It's a global economy to be sure.

I took a mental health/Spring fever day today.

Here's The Dirt Rat at play in the local desert. Chinamotor and all. We ran about 30 miles of almost all single track this AM and had a great time.

Thanks for posting the photos, Doc. However, I must correct you; spring has only arrived in your "banana belt!" Winter is alive, and well, in most of the northern United States, and Canada!

I thought you were going to tell me Roger grew those in his backyard, and harvested them yesterday!
