Canyon 250 starter clutch help

I purchased a Canyon 250 four months ago. A plate in the starter clutch came apart. I am about to replace two plates and the clutch casing. What is the best way to clean out the metal shavings? They are both steel and aluminium. Is there anything else that I should do while I have this open? How can I clean out the transmission? I'm worried that shavings may be there but I don't want to crack it open.

I know you don't want to hear this but personally I would split the case and clean it out real good. All it takes is a few pieces of metal left in the case to ruin your day.

warranty

The engine is under warranty. They are sending the parts. They told me to replace the plates and keep going. I don't want to void the warranty.

I've done mechanic work most of my life. I've made that mistake at a young age. We learn from our mistakes. Believe me, It's worth the extra effort to do it right the first time.

I'm not a mechanic but, I agree with you completely. I'm just stuck here. If I take it apart and can't put it back together they won't help me and will say I voided the warranty. If I do what they say and it breaks down later, they will send parts and help me over the phone.

I here you. You can try just flushing it out a few times with an oil and diesel or kerosene mix. If you follow there instruction I guess that makes them libel for any damage.
