Hopefully the extra hoses actually came in handy. Did you end up cutting one down to link the coolers together?
The connectors are different sizes on each end of the hose so I had to rob a connector off one hose and cut one hose to make shorter. Thanks again. I did get a chance to take a long ride Sunday morning but it got too windy. Roads were still damp from the rain and I was getting pushed around by gust of wind so I kept to the back roads and just cruised around at 45 to 50 mph till about noon. I was hoping for the winds to die down after lunch to go for another ride but that never happen. I really need to tune the carb a little. It may be time to upgrade the carb. I think my pilot jet may be a tad too small now. 120 Main jet was running a little lean but I think the 125 may be too rich. I didn't get to try it. Anyway I was happy just getting some ride time in.

The constant weather fluctuations at this time of the year make it hard to really dial in a carb too. Thinking of switching to the "Mikuni" clone?

We are back to our typical warm, humid and muggy weather. It would of been a good day to tune it. The wind was not cooperating. It was a little to dangerous to do any high speed testing and tuning. If I can't get the stock carb dialed in I'll get Mikuni Clone. There's has to be a better way of adjusting the idle mixture without having to pull the carb off. I think it may be a little off too. I don't know when I'll have time because the next few weeks are going to be busy. The fabricator emailed me this morning that the skid plates are ready to be picked up (don't know why he didn't let me know on Friday they were ready), It's Mardi Gras time and I'm booked up for the next two weekends and Mardi Gras day DJing on a few parade floats. Way too many irons in the fire.

Not a cheap option, but very handy for carbs that have the idle mixture in this location (Honda...)
https://www.amazon.com/Motion-Pro-08...35JBN74AYYGGNT

You may or may not have to file the tip down to a size that will work with this carbs mixture screw slot,

They have an even more expensive one that uses hex bits and fits in even tighter areas. https://www.amazon.com/Motion-Pro-08...9S41KNHW1M72ZQ

At almost $70 though...

I've only laid down the bike a few times but those were gentle lay downs while off road so no damage to ant part of the bike.

Hi I understand this thread is old.
However I had heating problems on my motorbike and bought the same kit.
Do you still have this kit on your bike? Does it work well?
On which side did you install the line with the filter, in or out? I think the pump is sucking the oil. Correct?
Where you able to measure flow and pressure?

Yes I still have the kit installed and works well. I have the filter installed on the suction side which is the line that will run to the center of the adapter. But honestly I don't think it matters which one you put it on. Here's a thread where I installed an oil temperature gauge to monitor the temps. http://chinariders.net/showthread.php?t=22409

Thank you JerryHawk250 . I just realized now that you answered my question. I really appreciate it. I didn’t check the forum for a long time. I installed the cooler, and I think it works (the radiator is hot). I will see this summer. Still the head cover and crank case of my motorbike become hot (but I think a little less).

The valve cover is going to be hot because it's an air cooled bike, oil flows through it, and the head is the hottest part of a bike. The engine will always feel hot, even with an oil cooler. The main purpose of the oil cooler is to prevent viscosity loss due to the engine oil getting too hot. This means the oil lasts longer and does its job better which results in longer internal parts life, up to and including the clutch.
