nice- is there a particular part number for that? I noticed the plug on the end of my hose leaks so this would be a nice fix

there all the same (home depot, lowes, walmart) its smaller than the clear hose but i cut a half of inch of the fuel line that comes with it and put it over one end then slid it inside the clear tube, made a snug fit like it was made for it. then just put the clamp back on. 5min. job.

Took the bike for a ride today through some back country roads.left the oil seperator the way it came from CSC. Put 114 mi. on it taday and No gas in the tube, none, nada, zilch. I did keep the bike at 5k and below (ok 5.5k) and varried the throttle.

Frequently the plug at the bottom of the clear tube will leak, so you won't notice any fuel collecting in the tube. However, the tube will be discolored by gasoline. Also, running the engine at lower rpms might cause less fuel to collect in the tube.

Some people might believe they can swap the tube for a day, and draw a valid conclusion. However, one really needs to experiment with the OCS in both orientations for several weeks at a time, under similar atmospheric conditions and riding speeds, et cetera.

I'm not trying to jinx you, Ron; I'm just telling the truth. I never collected any fluid from my OCS all of last year, because the plug at the bottom of the collection tube was not sealed perfectly. This year I noticed the collection tube has shrunk a bit, the plug is fitting tightly, and the tube is now collecting fluid.

Detours proved this last year.

Last year we analyzed the design and operation of the OCS. Then Detours conducted several valid experiments, which verified our analysis was correct. However, the internet is full of people who post all the time in ignorance, if you know what I mean.

That's a great idea, Ron. I think I am going to get one of those shut off plugs, myself.
