OH GOD! What a sore spot on your issue, I've replaced including the air box, gorilla taped and every other thing imaginable to those air hoses, they all split asap!
i would strongly suggest, as i have 2 bulls and 1 rhino, which i went around and around on the air hose cracking thing, just get the right cone filter, either the 42mm or 38mm and remove the whole unit and replace with that! the hoses will never ever stop splitting,, trust me on that one!
or,, there are amazing mods in here on changing the air system so the air filter is under the seat, ect..

I've only had this thing for 1 month,I just can't believe the poor quality.I've got an idea on how to fix it as long as the ends don't tear.I'm going to take your advice for now and order a 42mm cone filter, but if my fix works,I'm going back to the air box.

Keep an eye on the ball joint rubbers too, mine didn't last 6 months. Found some better ones on Ebay.

The bull150; use the 38mm, and you can use either straight or angled and bolt it right on the carb, but..check out how the carb/motor sit, hence the throttle line may cut across the front and effect how the filter sticks out, the cone filter is not flexible like the rubber hose, I got mine at VM, and they are fair/nice.
ps-don't be surprised how cheap everything is, just brace yourself, for the constant maintenence. Now if yo live on a farm and only on dirt roads then your life is going to be much easier, but if using them on logging roads like me,, different story.
They run perfectly fine, but you really really need to constantly re tighten all the frame bolts periodically, grease everything, change the fuse to a waterproof one and get rid of the cheap glass one, change the battery to a yusa, spark plug to ngk, oil to real oil, and ethanol free gas at any cost unless your really good at carb tinkering.
This forum is amazing with the best people assisting!
But there's a reason you only paid 1k for an atv for sure!

Hopefully I've found a use for this can of Flex Seal that I have,I'm going to put 3 or 4 coats on it and let each coat dry and maybe I can keep using the air box that come on it.

Got it on there, way stiffer now with 3 coats of Flex Seal.I was going to go 4 coats but......hard enough to get on there with just 3 coats.Got it on there, you literally got to lay on the atv and hold it from one side while reaching over from the other side to tighten the clamp.Noticed I didn't get the clamp all the way on the bottom after tightening,so when I went to loosen the clamp, the screw screwed itself out of the clamp, cheap worm gear clamp.Looked around and don't have a clamp that size or narrow of a width. It's a 10mm wide clamp and all mine are 20mm wide and either too big or too little.

Also changed the break-in oil out for some more 15W40 Rotella,I'm going to run that for 20 hours then go synthetic.

Also while I was looking the atv over, seen the outer nuts on both upper tie rods had come loose to the point of screwing themselves off the threads. So I got the blue loctite out plus the 4 bolts securing the front luggage rack had come loose a little,so they got some loctite also.

I never did order one of those cone filters, seems to me they would let a lot of fine dust get into the carburetor unless they have some kind of paper or foam element inside them.If I was going to go that route I would go with a 2-stage Uni foam filter like this one-https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000WJIX6W/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_2?smid=A1TFBK3C7LO58P&psc=1
