sept test ride

couldn't go to the cleanup today because the fuzz was going to be there helping and we do not have insurance as of yet so chose to go where they are not STAVE LAKE MUD FLATS!

the 150 swing arm held up just fine Weld she was riding it hard and fast today and all seemed to be just fine

forgot the camera but managed to get a couple of shots of her on my phone.

mine did just fine until we came across a 7 yr old on his new loncin 125 spiderman atv that his dad just got him.

I go to show off a bit doing some dougnuts and POP there goes a lower ball joint 8O 8O

how do you get this back to the trailer you ask???

ratchet strap of course

so tomorrow I am jacking it up and removing both lower ball joints and sourcing them.

What would you do if something didn't break? Sounds like another midlife weekend.

Did the ball joint actually break, or are the threads just boogered?

BTW, move your thumb!

well in certain situations yes ....if you are on a forestry service road you need a min of $200.000.00 liability and as well need to have a valid drivers license.

the trail clean up was mostly on fs roads and with the fuzz there well.... thats pretty much asking for the $300 and some odd fine.

That varies from Province to Province. As an example, Alberta has required registration of all off-road vehicles since the early '80's. What that means is that all dirt bikes, quads, sleds, etc have a tag on the back. We don't have that in BC, but we do have a liability insurance requirement when not on private land.

I'm glad the swingarm repair worked well. Since Weldangrind fixed it, I would never doubt its durability.

It would suck to get a ticket while doing volunteer work.

How much does the insurance cost?

We don't need that here in the US.

YES this is why we backed out and went someplace else .

min insurance required here is $200,000.00 liabilaty wich is $100.00 per yr. but for another $25 you can get $1,000,000.00 and thats the route that we take with ours....didn't have the cash this month when it expired as we have other things to pay so it will have to wait.

Insurance even here may not be a bad idea. I suppose if a person ran someone over or something it would be good to have. Just something I've never thought about before for a dirt bike/ATV/ORV

Doc, check with you regular insurance provider for home/car/bikes. You may already be covered or you can just add on a policy for a few pennies more.

I had the EZGO insured with farm bureau. It wasn't much.
