Electric Trials bike?

I had the opportunity to test drive the new Zero electric bikes. The electric motorcycle has come a long way. Quite pricey, but definitely something to think about depending on riding style.

So I wish to do more trials riding, and thinking a good electric trials bike might just fit the bill. I have seen electric mountain bikes, but don't want one of them.
Is there any Chinese company making a respectable electric Trials Bike?

Is this imported to the USA? Do you have a model or something for me to search using? I had a chance at a gasgas awhile back, and almost did it, it's just a large investment for a part time hobby.

Thanks for the links pete. Looks like an ok bike. I have thought of using my apollo and reworking the frame and design to trials. I have a Yamaha front that would work well, then just redo the frame for double shocks and a shorter wheelbase.

But while looking at the Xingyue site, I noticed they had electric bikes, and I have heard about the electric mountain bikes which seem to be lots of fun. I like the idea of no gas spilling in the van heading up for camp out etc.

I just wonder how hard it would be to make my own electric that was reasonably lightweight and had some power, like the Zero.

The Zero has a dirt version, uses 4 +1 batteries and weighs over 400lbs. A range of 180 or more miles. No shifting, smooth power and torque. And for a trials or trail bike, the slow work or stopping would not require clutching or choking out.

Zero makes 2 motors and I just wonder what I could get a motor, controller and battery for, then build my own. They say the new technology batteries cost $2500 each, and the cells are made in china, but the rest of the battery assembly and technology is made in the USA. Maybe I could find a decent motor made in china. The Zero uses a 110v DC brushless motor.

I really did like the quiet driving, and in the hills, that would be so great. If I had a spare 20 grand, I would get the top of the line Zero DSR ZR13 bike.
