we built a new trade school a couple of years ago and last week they gave maintenance the old one . I took the old A/C shop and classroom (since thats what I do here) and found out the nice thing about having a big shop is my bike doesnt have to sit outside in the parking lot in the sun. nice to have a roll up door!

Lovely bike. Impressive crating. Looks like almost no assembly required!

Is there an option for larger saddlebags? The OEM's look a little narrow

CSC offers some aluminum Tourfella luggage, but it is pretty expensive. A lot of guys are fitting larger top cases on from Amazon and Ebay.

Caribou are basically Pelican cases with a mark-up. Either way is basically indestructible!

Oh come on it's not that hot in alabama in the summer, I bet you have plenty of time to ride that new bike. I believe they call it job security

That east TX, miss., Alabama corridor has to be the most humid areas in the country in those months.

I can't find that anywhere for $2.99! Local Lowes wants $10 Ace wants $9.50 without any additional fuel hose!

The fuel tank was reading empty this morning and I thought no way. So using the tool kit under the seat I pulled the tank and laid it on its side and repaired the sending unit. You don't have to disconnect everything just the fuel pump in the sender unit once it's on its side. You only have to pull the for Allen head screws in the wings and the main tank boat under the seat. You can see how far off mine was. Also the fuel pump bolts were only finger tight

Sorry about the big picture I was using my phone. Also this only took about 20 minutes using only the tools under the seat.

Thanks for posting the great photos and the good tips, Ron.

If I only want to access the bike's wiring, or fiddle with the connectors on the bottom of the fuel tank, I do the same thing with the fairings. However, I remove all the bolts except the inside bolt which connects to the radiator strap. I merely loosen this bolt. This allows me to rotate the fairings out of the way for maximum clearance, and facilitates the installation of the fuel tank when I am done with the job.

Also, thanks for reminding everyone to tighten the bolts on the fuel pump and the fuel gauge. Otherwise, people are likely to develop a fuel leak from these gaskets, which might pour gas on a hot engine at the worst possible moment.
