Strange metal wire

Half way through assembling my storm I found this laying on the floor of the shipping crate.
Anyone know it’s purpose and where it goes?

Looks like part of the mechanism of a window mini blind. Specifically the hook that attaches the adjustment stick to the blind.

It's not a broken retainer clip for the speedometer cable, is it? the one that bolts to the fork?

Take a picture next to something we can compare in size like a tape measure.

Looks kind of like the cable retainer that mounts to the lower triple clamp on the back side of the forks with a broken end.

At least it wasn't part of you Flux Capacitor. That kind of stuff will drive you nuts figuring out where it goes.

Don't feel bad. I had tore down my boat motor carb one day and put it to soak overnight. the next day when I went to put it back together I had two extra screws. For the life of me I couldn't figure out where they went to. I looked up from my work bench and noticed a few more screw just like them sitting on the shelf right above where I was working.
