Big wheel or small wheel pitbike??

Looking at pitbikes for an 11 year old. We will be riding trails, around here there it's a lot of sugar sand and tree roots. Just wondering if the big or small wheels have any pros or cons so i can decide which to order.

Big and wide are my tire/wheel preference for sand. Is said child tall enough for a bike with larger wheels and higher seat height? Do you have a specific bike in mind?

He's about 57-58" tall. Seat height on their specs seem to be only 1" different. I'm kinda leaning towards the Apollo dbx16 or dbx18.

Jstaguy24,

Here in Michigan we have many miles of trails that are sandy and with roots. The larger diameter front the better. I would go with the DBX-18 with the 14-17 The problem maybe the seat height for him. Also maybe look at the RPS Viper with 16-19 and a seat height of 32.5. I have lowered 2 Vipers for customers that are what megadan says are SmurfsI like that megadan, Smurfs and Sasquatch. And now I am building one with 18-21 for someone that is close to a Sasquatch
