When the window on my Lifan started leaking a couple years ago I glued a dime over it with JB Weld. Worked great and now my Lifan is worth 10 cents more!

10 cents
that is a good fix as there is no pressure there... just needs to seal in the fluid.. I never thought of that... I wonder if crazy glue or Gorilla glue is ok with brake fluid???

I'd sooner use a two-part epoxy than glue. JB Weld or Permatex Cold Weld would be good choices.

10 cents hey. did you have to drain the brake fluid and clean the resovoir so the jb weld would stick? I looked on line as well and they recommended also trying a freeze plug but couldn't find one that size roughly about 3/4 of inch in diameter. I found one place on the net where they sell the glass for $13. but 10 cents sounds even better. I also like adding value to things so this is for me.

I didn't have to take anything apart or drain the fluid. Just twisted the reservoir back on the handlebars so the window was more or less at the top, cleaned it up with soap and water, glued it on.

I learned the hard way to not use brake cleaner on it. The overspray ruined the adjacent plastic. Soap and water is a much better idea.
For patriotic reasons, I'll use a Canadian dime.

Brake reservoir
I see on EBAY the complete assemble from China is only $20.00... I would buy the complete assemble because my luck it would still leak alittle.. so for a couple of $$ more... buy the whole piece... I saw t hem for $15.00 for just the sight glass.. for $20.00 you get the handle as well
