Hey guys. Another update. So I successfully registered my Magician in Chicago, no questions asked, everything went smooth. I'm still having issues with the bike though. Even after turning the idle mixture screw wayy out, the bike still has a hard time idling. Even after warming it up for a decent amount of time, the bike will just die. Also, if it is idling, and I give it any throttle it will also just die. I'm afraid that this means I will have to take out the carb and see what the heck is going on in there. Also, I want to replace the stock spark plug, hopefully that might help a bit as well. I'm kind of lost at this point, and I would really appreciate anyone who could give me some in-depth advice for getting this bike running well. I will give you any other details you need to make a better assessment. Also, is it normal for me to have to warm it up in ~50F weather by putting the choke on and giving it throttle for a decent bit? I really appreciate everyone's help so far, I really want to be able to get this bike in good working order if possible. Thanks in advance!

Did you ever check the valve gaps? I know mine were tight and had no gap. I notice mine started a little easier.

I have not. I don't really know how to do that either. I'm new to all of this so it's been learn as I go, which I like. I will look it up and try it out to see if that will make a difference. Thanks!

There are plenty of valve adjustment videos on youtube. I am fairly certain Motocheez has a video which would be your exact engine, but I know one of our members, can't remember his nickname here, has a video or two regarding setting his valves on his Bashan. It should be essentially the exact same process...
