Curious to see how the RE treats you. Fastdoc here had one a few years ago. I believe he liked it. Looking forward to following your new thread.

My brother has decided that he would like to have the Spade. It looks like we might finish it up next week. He’s excited and of course, I gave him a deal.

The Himalayan is the perfect bike for me. The CSC TT250 and CCW Ace Scrambler we’re both on my short list. I also, considered the the Royal Enfield 650 Interceptor for a long time. The Himalayan dual sport suits me better. Royal Enfield pannier racks will be here in the next couple days.

Here is a list of some easy modifications that I plan to make.

Royal Enfield Himalayan aluminum handlebars
RE handlebar pad
RE pannier racks
RE panniers
RE European turn signals
PowerTRONIC efi tuner
Pirelli MT60 130/80-17 rear tire

Just easy stuff. Nothing major.

Has anyone had any issues with the bike engine cutting off when at a complete stop on the first gear, with the clutch being pulled completely?

How many miles on the bike?

How is the fuel quality in your area (Top Tier, ethanol laced, water ppm readings, etc.)?

When was the last Valve Adjustment?

And have you used a good fuel system cleaner since the problem showed up?

in no particular order, a small list of fuel cleaner brands that work as advertised:

Berryman*, Amsoil*, BG*, Blue Eagle/Sta-Bil*, Star Tron*, Schaeffers*, Chevron/Techron*, CRC*, Penray, Valvoline, Renewable Lubricants, BioBor*, Gunk/Motor Medic* etc...

* = usually cost more... for a reason (they work several times faster)

It's a common issue. The bike runs too lean at idle and cuts out. I had that issue day 1. Been over a year I still experience it. Only remedy I can think of is to get a fuel tuner.

Is it possible to get a link on the bracket used for the rear caliper? Did you also use the reservoir and rear master cylinder of the grom?
