I like the way you think. I do not think that moving the location of the stock levers will suit me. When I broke off half of my brake lever, I found that I was just as happy with half of the lever, and maybe shorter levers would not break when the bike tips over. It seems that the tall kickstand, and my carelessness in choosing a good spot to park, combine to make the bike fall over on the right side. Interestingly, it happens after many seconds of standing upright and after I start to walk away. Humiliating! So, shorter levers more care when parking are my goals.
