Looking good so far!...and it's nice you got the counter balanced motor. That Hondanoid pushrod should live a very long time with valve adjust and regular clean oil. I've had 4 of those motors now and all 4 valves assemblies came too tight. I suggest a reset. If they don't clatter a little, they're too tight.
My current Hondanoid has a gas cap that reaches kinda deep but not THAT deep!
I gotta say that for a stock rack, the rack that comes on these is the nicest I've seen. I have one on mine and it's very user friendly for strapping and surprisingly sturdy.
Also nice to see another member who has a Mrs. who rides her own! :-)

Thanks for posting the build thread.

It appears your bike has the same front wheel as my Zongshen 200GY-2. Do you have 37mm forks? Please measure the diameter of the inner fork tube.

I like the lower fork guards and the routing of the odometer and brake lines. Did you get a rubber, or a braided brake line?

OK.. I measured this morning.. Looks like they are 35mm. The brake line is braided, looks nice.. To be honest I didn't pick up on that, but it's a nice feature.

Also threw in a couple of pics with the box on..

Thanks for feedback on valves and gas cap.. I would be interested to know if anyone else had had issues like mine.. leaking cap, paint peeling off...etc..

Both of my China dual sports have plastic tanks with locking caps, and no EPA device.

I just noticed that you don't have a sprung shifter. I highly recommend that you findd a shifter with a spring-loaded tip on it, so that it will take an impact (rather than bending the shifter shaft). Like this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Dirt-Pit-Bik...400db1&vxp=mtr

It works fine Maybe as time passes I'll change a few out. OH!.. Throw the tool kit away.. (Apart from the allen key) it will round all your bolts eventually... The allen key is the most useful thing in there.. I'm 5'6" and you can see it's tall for me, so you should be fine in that department..
On your rack substitute an extra long bolt and nut you have laying around for the front support. I used a long supplied one with stacked washers for the rear.

Bit of a crap shoot which bolts go where I guess. I'll do that next time I fancy checking everything over.. I welded my "egg" heat shield mount back on. I saw saw a replacement header for these.. NO EGG!!

35 bucks, shipping will probably be ~20.00 When I (if I) ever have any spare cash I may go for that.. Of course, they are sending me a replacement, so I may hack the old one first..

Nice looking motorcycle. I like that green too. I am thinking about the 200cc model for my self, but not till some time in November.

9/27/15 update. Well, the 200 Bashan is out due to the only place that has them now does not ship to Hawaii or Alaska. That's all right, as I like the Hawk, the 250 Storm, and both the 200 and 150 "Will's" also. But, the 250 Storm has that nice rack.............

I believe it was these guys, but if not, they have them, too (they used to have the Storm in '250' form, but now only show the 200cc--but a couple other versions with the '250' er 229cc).
