Pinging/Knocking On Boom 125-10

I installed a big bore kit from Tbolt taking the bike to 141cc
but for some reason now i have a loud ticking/pinging/knocking sound.

It does this at idle and through the rpm band, it does not sound like pinging, but it defiantly has a metallic sound to it, Im running 91 octane 20 pilot jet and 105 main jet. Plug is a hair rich.

Looking for ideas and if anyone has experienced this with a big bore kit.

Check valve clearance. Sounds like too big of a gap or could be you timing chain is off one tooth when you did the installation.

I would check to see if you have any mounts that are loose, then I would check the valves. It's unlikely that timing would do that.

Valve lash is set to .005 exhaust and .003 intake. I marked the chain before taking apart and put back as it was. if the timing chain was off i would expect valve impact on the piston head, i removed the head to verify that and found no evidence of the piston coming into contact with the valves
