True. So thats the reason, which agree makes sense. I guess i should have asked you in court room terminalogy...if properly inflated to street tire inflation standards, will these stand up to the heat accumulated during long term exposure to highway speeds of 100kph and above?

I can see that happening.

We had this little ssr 125 pit bike that would shred the tube value almost weekly until I put a rim lock on it. 125cc was too much motor for that bike.

Yes. I used rim locks on all of my off-road motorcycles,
mostly converted roadsters, once I learned what they were for. I've ridden hundreds of miles on the highway with them installed, and no problems. But I used to carry one of those long, skinny bicycle pumps with me so I could put the pressure back up when I rode home....ARH

I havn't got them on my XT660R only because they don't make a 17" one..
but from the other guys that do use them on there ADV bikes they are having no issues
on the road with them...
If they do start making a 17" I will put them on the XT...
